Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Askuvo ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website, platform, and services (collectively, the "Services").
By using our Services, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our Services.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, billing information, and other details you provide when registering or using our Services.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our platform, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the platform.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers.
- How you found us: When you create an account, we record how you first arrived at Askuvo — for example campaign tags in the link you clicked (such as utm_source), the website that referred you, and the first page you landed on. This helps us understand which channels bring hosts to Askuvo. Before you make a cookie choice, this is kept only for the current browser tab; with analytics consent it is kept in your browser for up to 30 days. Advertising click identifiers (such as gclid or fbclid) are stored only if you accept marketing cookies. This information never includes your name, email, or message content.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, maintain, and improve our Services
- To process transactions and send related information
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support
- To personalize your experience and deliver relevant content
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and fraud
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating our Services (e.g., payment processors, cloud hosting providers).
- Airbnb connection (optional): If you choose to connect your Airbnb account, we use Hospitable Connect to read your listing's property details — name, address, check-in and check-out times, Wi-Fi details, house rules and listing descriptions — so you do not have to type them in. This is read-only and host-initiated: we do not read or write your reservations, pricing, payouts or guest messages, and nothing is saved to your property until you review and confirm it. You can disconnect at any time from your dashboard.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize your data.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access — request copies of your personal data
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data
- Right to restrict processing — request limited use of your data
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured format
- Right to object — object to certain types of processing
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@usevalai.ai.
8. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising Measurement
We use cookies and similar technologies in three categories: strictly necessary (sign-in and security), analytics (Google Analytics 4, to understand how the site is used), and marketing (Meta Pixel and the OpenAI (ChatGPT Ads) measurement pixel, to measure which ads lead to trials and subscriptions). Analytics and marketing cookies load only after you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer.
With your analytics consent, we store your Google Analytics browser identifier and consent choices against your Askuvo account. We may use this identifier to send Google Analytics a server-side record of your first subscription payment, including the transaction reference, payment time, amount and currency. This helps us understand which visits lead to paying subscriptions. This server-side report does not include your name, email address, property details or guest messages. We also send your advertising consent settings; accepting analytics does not by itself grant advertising consent. You can manage your analytics and marketing choices through Cookie preferences in the footer.
The Meta Pixel may record browser-based events such as PageView and StartTrial only after you consent to marketing cookies. We do not currently send events through Meta's server-side Conversions API. If we ever enable server-side sharing, we will update this section and the cookie banner before doing so.
For OpenAI (ChatGPT Ads) measurement, the pixel may record events such as account registration, property creation, a first concierge test, and checkout start only after you consent to marketing cookies. When you start a trial or a paid subscription, our server may also send OpenAI a confirmation of that event containing the event type, the time, a one-way hashed event reference, and — only if you consented to marketing cookies — the OpenAI click identifier (oppref) from the ad you clicked. We do not send OpenAI your email address, name, or other direct identifiers. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer; doing so stops all later browser and click-matched sends.
9. Connected AI assistants
If you choose to connect Askuvo to a supported third-party AI assistant through Ask Askuvo, information you request from Askuvo may be sent to that assistant so it can respond to you. Ask Askuvo is currently read-only and is limited to information associated with your own Askuvo account and properties. Sensitive property credentials such as Wi-Fi passwords and access instructions are not provided through the current Ask Askuvo tools, and guest activity summaries do not include raw guest conversation transcripts. Information sent to a third-party assistant is also subject to that provider's own terms and privacy practices.
10. Third-Party Links
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
11. Children’s Privacy
Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
